First The Denver/Boulder Drupal Meetup (DBUG) of 2010

Tonight was the first DBUG meeting of 2010. (To learn more about DBUG and join, check out the meetup information at meetup.com.) The DBUG meetings are held twice a month, second Wed in Boulder, and the fourth Tues. in Denver.

The new venue for the Boulder monthly meeting is the Boulder Public Library. This is a gorgeous venue, and the meeting room is really nice. They even let us bring in pizza, so a real win/win for all.

We had a really nice turn out tonight of about 20 Drupalers, and lots of great information. We started off with introductions by all in attendance. After which John Fiala arrived with the pizza, and everyone took a quick dinner break. Thank you to Vintage Digital for sponsoring tonight's meeting.

Matt Tucker started off the meeting with a demonstration and explanation of Development Seed's Managing News offering, http://developmentseed.org/product/managing-news. You can check out some really cool examples of Managing News in action on this page.

The conversation then moved onto other general questions from members of the meeting. There were questions about Advanced Profile Kit/Content Profile, core updates, CiviCRM, the possibilities of creating a CRM module (or suit of modules).

Overall it was a lively group with a lot of great information. I look forward to next month's event and lots of new information. Should be some great D7.
